Background
The South Otago High School Junior Technology Centre caters for year 7 and 8 students from ten client schools. It is a purpose-built facility at the high school. Although teachers Christine Elder and Simon Kay run their own programme, they are part of the high school technology department and have worked with their colleagues to support student learning progression into year 9. Year 7 students have half a year with one teacher, then swap with the year 8s and work with the other teacher in the second half.
