Scientists created manta ray-like robots that jump and glide out of the water

Designing a robot to move seamlessly from water to flight, similar to manta rays and flying fish, requires a power-intensive unit. It is especially challenging to make in a small size. The new type of robot could be used in reservoir management, agriculture, and disaster relief.
