Pretty in pink: the new ball game for test cricket
02 July 2014
New Zealand Cricket (NZC) and Cricket Australia (CA) all but confirmed that day-night test cricket would become a reality. Six-ball overs, covered pitches, and helmets will soon be joined by pink balls and 2 pm starts. The challenge of manufacturing a sufficiently robust pink ball has delayed the start of day-night test cricket but it is predicted to be ready soon.
