Invisibility cloaks: Will we ever really have them?

Invisibility cloaks are unlikely, but “cloak magnetic fields” may be developed for use in security applications. Other future possibilities might be “cloaks for heat” to keep future computers cool, cloaking buildings and dams from seismic waves, and “acoustic cloaks”.
