Copenhagen Harbour Bath / PLOT

Rather than imitating the traditional Danish indoor swimming bath, the Harbour Bath offers an urban harbour landscape with dry-docks, piers, boat ramps, cliffs, playgrounds, and pontoons. Introducing harbour baths in Copenhagen has proved a way of turning the abstract idea of clean water into something concrete and tangible.

- Characteristics of technology: Use this and other examples to support students to critically analyse examples of technological developments and their consequences, known and unknown and intended and unintended, to gain insight into the social responsibility technologists have due to the interventionist nature of technology. (level 8)
