In 2013, Christchurch students from years 7 to 13 were invited to enter the Amazing Place City Project competition. They were asked to design an amazing place to help make Christchurch the best small city in the world. The year 7 winners from Christchurch South Intermediate, LKL Construction, designed and built a 3-D model called “The Koru Centre”.

Amazon bubble building gets a cellular look
Amazon.com is proposing a bubble-like office building in its new three-block development in Seattle. The design for the bubble building gives the spheres an organic, cellular look.
